Upon entering, turn right and walk down the ramp to check-in with one of our volunteers at the check-in table. Please note that proof of vaccination against Covid-19 is required to attend, so have the name you used to RSVP and your proof of vaccination ready!
Photography
Refracted has included a photographer to document the festivities! We gotta let you know that by attending this event you agree to having your likeness used in photographs by Refracted for publicity and future marketing, but we’ll only take close-ups with permission. And also, when you look good, we look good, so don’t stress, we’ll only feature you at your best, we promise.
About the Event
Refracted’s 2019 inaugural launch event is back: Chicago style.
This one night event is inspired by the “salons” of eighteenth-century France, where intellectuals would discuss revolutionary ideas of the day, and young artists would seek patronage and prominence at an annual artistic exhibition.
The Refracted Salon flips these stodgy, uptight, French historical events into a killer evening that promises a panoply of stellar performances, rowdy debate, delicious food and beverages and delightful debauchery. Hosted by Artistic Directors Graham Miller and Tova Wolff, we're calling all Chicagoans to come meet the new company in town, Refracted, dedicated to curating experiences where curiosity is rewarded with the unexpected, and an open heart is met with a colorful display of what it means to be human.
